Foster Program
More than 2000 animals are euthanized each year in Bulloch County. Many of them would be wonderful pets if only they had a chance. The Humane Society does not have a physical location; thus, all our efforts to rescue and care for animals is conducted in our own homes. Thus, the more foster families we have, the more animals we can rescue.

Foster homes provide animals with a temporary home where they can learn important life skills, receive veterinary care, and prepare for a forever home. We are always looking for families, responsible college students, retirees, anyone with a love of animals, and a little extra time. If you think you might be interested in fostering please consider the following:

As a Foster Parent, you will:
  • Take your foster to vet appointments and administer medication, if needed.
  • Take your foster pet to at least 1 adoption event each month.
  • Work on basic training as you would your own pets.
No Cost to You:
  • We provide food, pay vet bills and provide crates, if needed.
Benefits:
  • You give an animal a second chance at life!
  • You help great pets find good people!
  • You have a “temporary” pet. No long-term responsibility and costs.
