If you find an abandoned pet we recommend you take it to the Bulloch County Animal Shelter, as this is the first place owners of a lost pet are likely to look.
The Animal Shelter (912)764-4529 is located off of Highway 301 North on Mill Creek Rd., outside the city limits of Statesboro. Go about a mile past the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office and look for the sign on the right.
If you are unable to take the animal, or if the shelter is full, please still report the animal to the shelter so that they will have a description and your contact information for the missing pet. We recommend you place a “Found Pet” ad in the newspaper and put “Found Pet” flyers in the vicinity the pet was found.
