Why Spay & Neuter?
Over 2,000 pets were put to death in Bulloch County last year.

The Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County, Inc., is committed to raising awareness, and providing financial assistance, to the community to spay & neuter our pets. It is not possible to find enough homes for the thousands of litters that are discarded in our county each year so we must work towards a solution of stopping the unwanted litters from occurring in the first place.

Less killing of homeless pets
Fixing your pet helps reduce the number of unwanted pets and pet deaths.

Less disease
Sterilized pets live longer and are healthier.

Less mess
Fixed males are less likely to mark territory and spray.
Fixed females don’t have a messy heat cycle.

More Trainable
Fixed pets are more comfortable and less likely to roam.
They aren’t focused on mating, so they’re more focused on you!
